PaperEncouragement to Fill My Mouth with God's Word
DescriptionTo speak the word as I meditate on it, to hold fast my confession so that my mind may be renewed. To direct and focus my attention toward God's thoughts rather than my own murmurings.
14 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits.
14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
